A hand coloured etching of Old College, Edinburgh
The dome of Edinburgh University’s Old College pierces the skyline from many vantage points in the city. The statue on the top has recently been restored and regilded, and so it now fully lives up to its local nickname of The Golden Boy. Shining in the glow of the setting sun, he raises his torch above distant clouds of gorse and snow on the Pentland Hills.
